Voter Registration

Persons age 18 or older can register to vote.  Picture I.D. is required.   Absentee ballots and election information may be obtained at 886-4375.

You can fill out, print, sign, and mail the Missouri Voter Registration Application.

City Clerk Offices in Ashland, Centralia, Hallsville, Rocheport, and Sturgeon have postcard registration forms available

Driver and Vehicle Licenses

Can be obtained at the Department of Revenue Office at 403 Vandiver Dr., Suite B, 573/474-4700. New Missouri residents have 30 days to obtain state driver’s and vehicle license. The local driver’s testing station of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is at the same location; call (573) 884-1399 for more information.

Marriage Licenses

Can be obtained at the County Recorder of Deeds Office at 801 E Walnut, Boone County Government Center, Columbia, MO.  Proof of age and legal name is required.  Call 573-886-4350 for more information.

Daniel Boone Regional Library Book Mobile

The Book Mobile comes to City Hall on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month.  It arrives around 2:00 p.m.

Library-To-Go

The Library-To-Go lockers and book drop are now in their new location at Prenger Foods.  You can once again select “Hallsville Library-To-Go” as your preferred pick-up location when you place holds for library materials from Daniel Boone Regional Library. Library-To-Go is a system of individual lockers that allows you to pick up requested library books, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks using your library card. You can register for a library card online at www.dbrl.org/library-card-application
